first post

in AMERICAAAA

Arizona is really nice. Warm, spacey, mountains in the background, sun and cacti everywhere!

the entire trip to here went smoothly. Well, almost.
to enter America you need to fill out different visum applications. Name, passportnumber, country of origin, yaddayaddayadda.

You also need to fill out where you are going, with adress and everything. But i left the adress in my backpack which I obviously didn't bring in the plane, and it's not like I can remember that kindda stuff in my head. I figured, "what the hell, I'll just tell them why I didn't write it down when entering the country'.

It shouldn't be that easy though.

"Sir, I see here that you didn't write an adress of your stay. Why is that?"
"Oh, It's because I don't know the adress in my head. I have it in the backpack which I need to pick up in the airport now."
"Well, I find it highly suspiscious that youre just going to go to Arizona, without an adress. Its my JOB to be suspicious about such things sir."

"Well, I'm not going to stay with a friend, we're going to tour the country in his van. See the Grand Canyon, stuff like that"
"And stuff like that, you say?... Hang on just a second"

seconds later 2 big brawly tough security guys come up to me and asks me to come with them. They brought me out back where they had to interrogate me about EVERYthing. Like, did I bring drugs, what was my REAL purpose in America, what is my real background, since my surname Munchow seemed a little too foreign for their liking. Eventually they figured that I was good enough and they let me go. with the warning "you might not be able to return to America again. Maybe you will, maybe not. Have a nice holiday".

so: day 1 - almost didn't get into America. But I'm here now! And having a good time already. No jetlag either!!

will take some pictures during the day and upload them later.

love

haha, yeah I probably should have told you about the address thing, they are very strict about that, hehe. Sorry!

Arizona is pretty in its own way, but I can imagine youd get bored with the whole stone-desert thing after a while. Grand Canyon is the most beautifully stunning place. Ever. Keep your expectations high, you wont get disappointed.

Say hi to Luke from me and have a good time in general, I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures.
Have fun!!!
Roger and over,
Søren

Very exctiting skat (danish, the best thing..heheh:D), the americans are really strict about that! Did it happen in New York or Arizona, when you couldn't get in? When are you going Las Vegas? Elsker dig(danish again,) Frederikke
